Krystal Cain on her painting: This art work is the visual representation of my personal experiences with PTSD. The dark depths of depression, hopelessness and despair that threatened to swallow me whole in an endless ocean of pain and which I fight against daily. In spite of this, through the darkness, my light shines bright with the love and support I find within myself, my friends, and family, because I’m not alone in this.
