Dr. Rebecca Lindsay, MD is a family physician, artist, and volunteer clinical faculty at the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program.  She has a background in narrative medicine with a focus on storytelling, as it relates to medical education, advocacy, and disability justice.  Her artistic process embraces her own lived experience with serious illness and recovery, incorporating this into her art practice.  She noticed these walker tracks and footsteps in the sand while she was on a physical therapy walk, a few weeks after a beach access mat was installed to connect the parking lot with the high tide line of the beach.
